Rather than functioning as a conventional sweater, the design sits between knitwear and lightweight outerwear. The knitted body provides the familiar texture and flexibility of a sweater, while the woven sections introduce additional structure around key areas of the garment. Mixed-Media Construction The most distinctive feature is the knit-woven combination. The main body uses a 7GG textured knit with a subtle heathered or speckled appearance. The upper shoulder area and central hood section are finished with diamond-quilted woven fabric, creating a clear contrast between the knitted and woven surfaces. This placement is also practical: the shoulder area is one of the parts of a garment most exposed to friction from bags, outer layers and everyday movement. Using a woven panel in this area gives the design a more structured outerwear character. Quilted Hood Detail The hood continues the mixed-media concept with a central quilted woven insert. This creates a visual extension from the upper back through the hood and gives the hood a more defined shape than an entirely knitted construction. An adjustable drawcord allows the wearer to change the hood opening, while the finished cord ends add a small functional detail to the overall design.
